Traders can now access futures contracts on 50+ top U.S. stocks, including NVIDIA, Tesla, Meta, and Alphabet, directly through their existing EdgeClear account
CHICAGO, July 27th, 2026 — EdgeClear, a registered introducing broker and futures trading platform for self-directed retail traders, today announced the launch of Single Stock Futures (SSFs) trading. For the first time, CME Group-listed futures contracts on individual U.S. equities are now available to its customer base.
The new product gives EdgeClear traders access to financially settled futures contracts on more than 50 of the most actively followed U.S. stocks. Specifically, these include names from the S&P 500, Nasdaq-100, and Russell 1000, such as Alphabet, Meta Platforms, NVIDIA, and Tesla. All contracts are accessible through their existing EdgeClear account, with no separate application or new platform required.
Closing the Gap Between Equity and Futures Markets
Single Stock Futures have historically been the domain of institutional trading desks. The contracts offer capital-efficient directional exposure to individual equities. Traders can go long or short without stock borrowing fees or short-sale restrictions. Furthermore, they provide access to nearly 24-hour trading, a tool professional traders have long used for hedging and portfolio management, and one that the retail market has largely operated without.
With today’s launch, EdgeClear brings that institutional-grade product structure directly to self-directed retail traders.
“The stocks you already trade. Now in futures,” said Maxwell Timmins, President at EdgeClear. “For years, traders have followed individual stocks closely but lacked a streamlined futures product tied directly to those names. Single Stock Futures bridge that gap, giving traders access to CME-listed contracts, capital-efficient exposure, and cash-settled execution on the companies they already watch every day.”
What Single Stock Futures Offer EdgeClear Traders
EdgeClear lists Single Stock Futures as CME Group-regulated, financially settled contracts. At expiration, the contract settles to the closing price of the underlying stock in the cash market, with no physical share delivery. The clearinghouse credits or debits gains and losses daily through the standard variation margin process.
Key product features include:
- 50+ underlying names drawn from the S&P 500, Nasdaq-100, and Russell 1000, including Alphabet, Meta, NVIDIA, and Tesla
- Financial settlement: no share delivery, no stock borrow logistics
- Nearly 24-hour trading: react to earnings, economic data, and market-moving news outside standard equity market hours
- Long and short exposure: without stock borrowing fees or short-sale restrictions
- Spread strategies: isolate single stock risk without impacting broader portfolio exposure
- Unified account access: existing EdgeClear customers trade SSFs alongside ES, NQ, CL, GC, and other futures positions from a single account
Four Trader Profiles. One New Opportunity.
EdgeClear’s SSF launch is designed for four distinct trader profiles. First, equity traders looking for a familiar entry point into futures. Second, options traders who want direct price exposure without premiums or time decay. Third, existing EdgeClear futures traders ready to extend their range to individual stocks. And fourth, active portfolio managers seeking a clean, frictionless hedging instrument on individual names.
For equity and options traders stepping into futures for the first time, SSFs meaningfully lower the barrier to entry. The underlying assets are stocks they already research and follow, therefore removing the need to learn new commodity cycles or index mechanics before placing a first trade. The product is new. The names are not.
For traders already inside the futures ecosystem, SSFs add depth without adding friction. The same account, the same platform, and the same margin structure now apply to individual equities, enabling experienced futures traders to express single-stock views alongside their existing index and commodity positions without opening a second account or adapting to a new workflow.
